This story takes place in a town full of creatures called "Puffs." Little Judy Puff is a different color then the rest of her family and community. Her parents make attempts to help her fit in by coloring her with make-up everyday. Though this guise works for a while, eventually the kids at school find out her difference and tease her about it. She runs away and encounters a new friend who tells her about the one who created her and takes her to see him in the hopes he will help. When little Judy Puff meets her maker she learns about the special plan he has for her and why her difference makes her special and valued. The entire community learns a valued lesson in love, acceptance, and individual giftedness.
